There is NO COST to attend.  Prior registration is encouraged for CME/CEU credit and so that we may provide enough food for everyone.  Walk-ins are welcome to attend.

Schwartz Rounds is part of a national program founded by the Schwartz Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. Each year, 60,000 caregivers take part at more than 200 hospitals. UVA is the first, hospital in Virginia to offer these Rounds. The purpose of the Rounds is to provide a safe forum for people to discuss difficult psychological, social and emotional aspects of providing care. The open forum allows people to grapple with questions such as: How did this experience make me feel? Are there others who feel the way I do? What can I learn from this? The format is case-based, talking about real cases at UVA. An interdisciplinary panel will provide a synopsis of the case and then the floor will be open for discussion.

The next Schwartz Rounds is Friday, September 28, in McLeod Hall Auditorium. Lunch is provided 11:30am-12:00pm and the Rounds runs from 12:00pm 1:00pm.

We hope you can join us; it is a valuable experience for clinicians and non-clinicians alike!
